Jay-Z's Green Sapphire Richard Mille 56-01 Watch is Worth Over $3 Million

Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin threw an all-white 4th of July party over the weekend including an array of hip-hop A-listers like Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi, Quavo, Kid Cudi, Bobby Shmurda, Meek Mill and Jay-Z.
The latter's custom Richard Mille watch had to be the most expensive accessory there.
This RM 56-01 Tourbillon decorated with green sapphire crystal was made special for Jay, and it's reportedly one of the priciest timepieces ever assembled by the Swiss brand. Watch customizer Alex Todd confirmed to Complex the retail price hovers around $3 million.
"The entire manual winding tourbillon movement is highlighted thanks to the components in [the] sapphire crystal that allows as much light as possible to penetrate into the calibre," an IG account called Insane Luxury explained.
The real value, however, could be "way more," according to Todd, especially with Hov's likeness attached.
He's responsible for designing Jay's first one-of-one RM056 Tourbillon in blue sapphire, which he debuted at the 50th NAACP Image Awards in 2019.
It took roughly 3,000 hours to create and costs $2.5 million. At the time, Todd declared it "the most expensive RM ever produced."
Following in Hov's footsteps, Lil Baby and James Harden were also rocking matching Richard Milles along with their white-on-white fits. "Stop playing," Baby captioned a clip of them flexing their wrists.
The two pals then jetted to Paris together, presumably for the "haute couture" portion of Fashion Week 2021, a French term for high-end and handmade clothing. Talk about a life of luxury!
