Zion? Is that you? 👀

While a good chunk of the population probably put on a few unneeded pounds during quarantine, Zion Williamson appears to have been locked in the weight room. A photo of the rookie's chiseled body sparked a stir among NBA fans on Twitter on Thursday.

"Zion heard y'all little gumbo jokes," wrote one commenter. Others compared him to the supervillain Bane from the Batman series.

Here are some of the funniest highlights.

Speaking on his conditioning, Zion told reporters, "I feel like I am in good shape right now." Uhh, ya think? He also talked about how he's getting ready for the season restart later this month: "I'm preparing myself by bonding with my teammates again and talking to them and saying, 'We're going to get through this.'"

What a week it's been for Mr. Williamson. Just a day before the Pelicans debuted his new look, Zion became the first rookie to attain an NBA 2K cover, gracing 2K21 for next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Alongside Zion are Blazers star Damian Lillard, who will appear on the cover for current-generation systems, as well as the late Kobe Bryant for a special Mamba Forever Edition.

However, three of Zion's teammates are likely a little less active than him at the moment after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to Pelicans GM David Griffin.

Across the entire NBA, a concerning 25 players out of 351 total (over 7%) and 10 team staff members out of 884 total have given positive tests since the league began testing on June 23.
