To summarize a viral video of Dennis Rodman ripping apart YEEZY shoeboxes, C.J. Toledano of House Highlights tweeted, "Dennis Rodman opens up shoeboxes like Dennis Rodman." He's damn right.
Rodman was recently gifted two pairs of YEEZY sneakers by Kanye West, including the Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runners and the Yeezy QNTM Barium basketball shoes. But the unboxing clip is like nothing you've ever seen.
Instead of sliding out the shoes normally, the 59-year-old, 5x NBA champion uses his gigantic hands to paw through the cardboard containers like an antsy kid on Christmas day. (Come for the destruction but stay for Rodman's reaction when he sees the unusual QNTM Barium.)
Kanye came through for Rodman after apparently running into him at a Chicago hotel while the former was surrounded with "high-profile" security. Later, Ye received a birthday message filled with "blessings from one of my heroes, The incredible alien level Dennis Rodman!," as he wrote.
"Love what you're doing with Adidas, man," Rodman complimented. "Keep it up, brotha. Send me some shoes some time. What the f***, man?! Chicago boys, what's up!" As two creative trailblazers who share a mutual love for the Windy City, it's not surprising they get along so well.
When he wasn't shredding shoeboxes to bits, Rodman also made a cameo during A$AP Ferg and Tyga's virtual performance of their song titled after the NBA legend on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
That's one heck of a weekend!
