Since making the shocking decision to leave the New England Patriots after 20 seasons and sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this NFL off-season, Brady has maintained a relatively private profile.
On Wednesday, though, he broke his silence with Howard Stern and shared never-before-heard insight on a range of personal topics, including his decision to leave the Pats, his marriage with Gisele, where he stands with Donald Trump and, of course, male genitalia. 😂
On Leaving the Patriots...
Not many people expected Brady to move on from the Pats in mid-March, but Brady knew he what he was going to do before the 2019 season even started. That's what he communicated to Stern, at least.
"I don’t think there was a final, final decision until it happened, but I would say I probably knew before the start of last season that it was my last year," he said. "I knew our time was coming to an end."
On His Marriage...
Brady has been married to his wife Gisele for over a decade, but throughout the years, there have been moments when their relationship was in intense jeopardy. In fact, Gisele wrote him a "heartfelt letter" explaining the state of their marriage at one point, leading to multiple therapy sessions.
One of the biggest issues was that Brady was too focused on football, and he eventually stopped going to OTAs to make more time for his family.
"Two years ago, as it related to football for me, I had to make a big transition in my life to say I can’t do all the things that I wanted to do for football like I used to," he said. "I had to take care of my family because my family situation wasn’t great. She wasn’t satisfied with our marriage. I had to make a change in that.”
On His Relationship With Trump...
When Trump's name came up, Brady kept his comments brief. One of the biggest revelations was that Trump asked him to speak at the 2016 Republican National Convention, though TB12 declined.
"It was uncomfortable for me because you can’t undo things, not that I would undo a friendship, but political support is a lot different than the support of a friend," he said.

"Why are we doing this?" he asked of open showers in the locker room. "You get used to it. Every guy's penis looks the exact same," he added. "A man's a man." 💯
He also recalled a time when he got hit so hard during a game that one of his testicles swelled to to the size of an orange.
