VF Corp is beginning to realize the potential of its $2.1 billion Supreme ownership position, orchestrating a collab with another one of its flagship brands, The North Face, as well as the 'Mortal Kombat' franchise.
Following Supreme and The North Face's' ultra-wintery drop in late October, the latest collection includes a black, green or red Nuptse Jacket each with a Backpack and Waist Bag to match. All the items are made of fuzzy faux fur and stamped with the typical co-branded finish, each logo presented side by side.
The larger Week 16 lineup produced by Supreme alone features an essentialist zip-up hoodie with a graphic-covered globe on the rear of the hood, an intramural-inspired crewneck sweater, a striped velour pullover and a quilted flannel button-down.
Protecting customers from chilly weather and any rain or snowfall is an all-around aviator hat with a detachable face mask and a facemask beanie. For more mild environments, there's a Kevlar honeycomb ripstop camp cap and a 6-panel hat showing repeated script icons.
But the most eye-catching and unique product arriving as part of Supreme's final Fall/Winter 2020 release is the 3-in-1 'Mortal Kombat' retro arcade cabinet. Sitting on what looks like a blood-splattered riser, the system comes with three classic titles, 'Mortal Kombat,' 'Mortal Kombat II' and 'Ultimate Mortal Kombat,' ready to launch.
It's constructed by Arcade1Up and the fan-favorite fighter Raiden appears on the side in a Supreme ninja fit while channeling his stormy powers. The color monitor measures 17 inches and Supreme's box logo seems to even be highlighted in the game.
