Only a few hours removed from leading his Trail Blazers to a 126-122 win over the Grizzlies in the Western Conference play-in game, Damian Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A. served a four-song EP on SoundCloud fittingly titled Live From The Bubble.

His teammates Gary Trent Jr. and Nassir Little even trade some smooth bars on the title track.

Recorded entirely from his Walt Disney World hotel room in Orlando, songs like "I'm Him" are an extension of the confidence and poise Dame so often displays on the court. "I beat the odds, now I'm killin' 'em soft, n****, I'm really a boss," he rhymes.

When 22 teams moved into the bubble in mid-July, Lillard revealed to AP that he had transformed a part of his suite into a "simple" studio.

Reactions from fans and fellow hip-hop artists like Chevy Woods suggest Lillard's clout in rap is rising. As for basketball, respect is at an all-time high: He's averaging over 37 points across nine games and was named MVP of the season restart.

Live From The Bubble is the perfect warm-up for Lillard's next big release. He has two songs premiering exclusively as part of the NBA 2K21 soundtrack, which arrives for current-gen consoles with his face on the cover on Sept. 4.
