Charles Barkley Inks New TNT Contract Worth Close to $200 Million
| LAST UPDATE 10/24/2022
Charles Barkley has agreed to a new TNT contract that is worth over $100 million as he continues on as one of the top sports analysts in the nation. According to the New York Post, Barkley currently has three years left on his existing contract and could earn close to $200 million if he finishes his 10-year contract with TNT, ending after the 2024-25 NBA season. However, if TNT does not continue on with the NBA, Barkley could own the rights to his contract and move it on to another platform.
The former NBA star and TNT go way back. For over two decades, Barkley has been a part of the studio as a sports analyst, appearing on the network's NBA coverage. As a once-professional player himself, Barkley provides special insight into the game that has given him the title of one of the greatest reporters of all time.
However, Barkley has made a true mark on the network for his long-existing position on Inside the NBA, where he serves as one of four analysts. Barkley sits alongside Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O'Neal as they get together to discuss a variety of NBA highs and lows as a part of the ultimate postgame show for audiences. Although the former 76ers player has repeatedly spoken about retiring at 60, the network has given him an offer he cannot refuse, as he turns 60 in just a few months. Although the details are not exactly known as to him much he will be earning; the number sits somewhere close to $200 million to fulfill his contract.

Shaq already holds a long-standing agreement with the deal, and co-hosts Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith have just signed new contracts with TNT. "We're all a big family — Ernie, Kenny, and Shaquille are brothers to me — and I wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for them and all the amazing people who work on our show," Barkley said. "I'm not gonna lie, though, this is a life-altering deal …, and I'm blessed to be able to do live television for a living." All in all, we couldn't imagine the network without him, so stay tuned for more updates!
