It's almost a requirement for a rapper to rep the city that raised them, from The Notorious B.I.G's Brooklyn love to Travis Scott's Houston heritage. Yet few are going as hard for their hometown as Benny The Butcher.
The Griselda star is taking his love for Buffalo and its beloved Bills NFL squad to a new level, teaming with the franchise to drop the official "Bills Mafia Anthem" and a couple of pieces of exclusive merch.
Ahead of the 13-3 Bills AFC Wild Card playoff matchup with the Indianapolis Colts this Saturday afternoon, Benny is offering Josh Allen and co. and the devoted Bills Mafia fanbase a legit banger to hype them up.
Championship bound? "Something to motivate the team like they motivated us so we need the entire Bills Mafia to play this LOUD," Benny wrote on social media. The visuals for the one and a half-minute track are set at midfield of Bills Stadium.
Amplified by resounding 808 thumps and arena-ready synth notes, Benny chants, "We the mafia, Bills Mafia," across the chorus before jumping into a quick verse flexing the franchise's nationally-renowned passion.
"Gameday you know we goin' off / Got your team captain shakin' at the coin toss / We say mafia that mean family to me / 'Cause we stand with the team, best fans in the league," the 36-year-old raps.
Honestly, so many of these team theme songs are corny and forced, but Benny and the Bills did this one right.
Too much sauce: Plus, the two parties collaborated on a graphic T-shirt and hoodie capsule featuring Benny gripping a Pyrex measuring cup like a football while testing his 3-step drop.
In other Griselda news, Westside Gunn revealed he's not going to retire this year as he had previously claimed.
