As people look for fun ways to interact with their friends during quarantine, there's a new social media challenge taking participants, especially rappers, to never-before-seen heights.
Inspired by the trend of people challenging one another to do ten push-ups comes the "Kush Up Challenge." Coined by Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da King/Kid, the objective of the challenge is to puff a weed-stuffed joint or blunt 10 times in a row without breathing out any clouds until the end.
Gillie's inaugural attempt left him quite shaken, unsurprisingly, and you can see him coughing up a lung with red, teary eyes. He then challenged other stoners like Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and G Herbo to take part.
In response, Snoop, one of the most famous smokers of all time, let Gillie know that he wasn't fazed by the challenge one bit. "Appreciate the challenge, but this what the f**k I do," he said. "A 10-off? N*gga please." Snoop then proceeded to take nearly 20 pulls without coughing once. 😂
Wiz, another proficient stoner, also accepted.
Like Uncle Snoop, Khalifa Man breezed through his "Kush Up Challenge" while also promoting his new marijuana-inspired single, "Contact (feat. Tyga)." (Snoop and Wiz share a strong bond over weed and back in 2012, they even made a full-length movie and soundtrack targeted toward stoner fans, Mac & Devin Go To High School.)
Others, though, didn't want all the smoke. Watch below as Russ and G Herbo hilariously struggle to make it through.
Veteran rappers and entertainers Juicy J, Jim Jones and Lil Duval, 44, 43 and 42 years old respectively, were some of the others to hold their own. Juicy took the liberty of summoning Seth Rogen to participate, too.
Looks like years of lighting up that good good is finally paying off. 😎
