Tyler, The Creator Shares Bracket of His Own "Personal Favorite" Songs
| LAST UPDATE 07/01/2021
Tyler, The Creator's catalog of music is one of the most wide-ranging among today's major artists.
The rapper-singer-songwriter-producer has gone through several different career phases, and this growth is palpable when comparing his raw 2011 debut Goblin to his most recent Grammy-winning album IGOR.
After a Twitter account called DJ Pickle Juice garnered over 1 million votes to form a tournament-style bracket of fans' favorite Tyler songs, the 29-year-old tried his hand at breaking down his own "personal favorite" picks.
The final four is comprised of cuts from four separate albums: "911/Mr. Lonely," "New Magic Wand," "Okaga, CA" and "Rusty." Noticeably missing from the group is Tyler's biggest commercial success, "Earfquake."
Driven by unrelenting, energy-filled production, "New Magic Wand" from IGOR, which Tyler performed at the 2020 Grammys, took the crown as Tyler's favorite track. "NEW MAGIC WAND IS MY FAV BY ME, WOULDNT SAY ITS THE BEST BUT, I LOVE THAT SONG," he explained.
When pressed by fans about what he believes is his "best" work, Tyler replied, "either see you again, earfquake or boredom. i f*****g nailed those ha!" Agree or disagree?
Later, Tyler revealed that he's actively following the instructions heard on "Boredom," as he purchased a dirt bike and ATV for fun. "i get a dirtbike and atv delivered tomorrow life is great, hope youre well! stay hydrated and moisturized love," he responded to someone asking about his boredom.
Living good!
