Pretty Ricky's Spectacular Smith accused Tory Lanez of illegally sampling two songs from the R&B group's 2005 album, Bluestars. 🤔

Shots started to fly after Tory tweeted his frustration over Akon and 6ix9ine working together on the upcoming "Locked Up" remix.

Out of nowhere, Spectacular then commented on an Instagram post showing the tweet. "you should have just stole it like Grind On Me and Your Body," he wrote. "Why stop now .... Just keeping it 2 Virgils."

(If you haven't seen, "2 Virgils" has replaced the term "100" on social media after multi-millionaire Virgil Abloh posted a screenshot of his $50 donation to a Miami bail fund.)

Tory was quick to respond in an IG Story, claiming that he "bought the rights [to the samples from Pretty Ricky's "Grind With Me" and "Your Body"] from whoever signed u and publishes your music."

He added, "But I guess you weren't apart of that conversation 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣 go stare in someone eyes and rub on someone thighs and leave me outta this one .... goodnight my black brother ✊🏽."

Before posting a Story of his own, Spectacular took aim at Tory's one-time receding hairline (low blow) underneath a post from The Shade Room – "Ever since you got that new hairline, you been acting different" – and asserted that he "owned [his] own masters."

Later, the 33-year-old said that Tory released the sampled records "without [the group's] permission," adding, "I could have snatch your song down like you did mines."

The songs in question include Tory's "Slow Grind" featuring Jacquees, which appeared on his 2017 mixtape Chixtape 4, as well as "Yessirr" from Chixtape 5, released in 2019.

Though Chixtape 4 may have involved a different process, Chixtape 5 represented a feat in sample clearing. Speaking to DJBooth, one of Tory's managers, Sascha Stone Guttfreund, claimed that the legal team behind the project "cleared 17 samples" while working with 19 different lawyers.

Indeed, it looks like Tory earned the last laugh after he provided The Shade Room with receipts for both samples. Making matters even worse for Spectacular, it appears that he only owns 6% of the master for "Your Body."

Tory offered one final mic drop in the comments section: "Going to go back to minding my business . Y’all have a good day . 🚶🏾‍♂️"
