Some Eminem fans can be pretty over-the-top. He did coin the term "stan" two decades ago, after all. One stan from overseas is setting the bar in a record-setting way that even Em may find shocking.
A 35-year-old Scottish woman has broken the Guinness World Record for the most tattoos portraying one artist, revealing to BBC that she has 16 pieces of ink showing Eminem.
Nikki Patterson, or "crazyeminemlady" on Instagram, got her first tattoo of Em when she was 19. All told, she has 52 tattoos and 28 of those are inspired by the Detroit rapper.
She quoted a portion of Eminem's verse on Dr. Dre's "I Need a Doctor" beside a post presenting each tat: "'All I know is you came to me when I was at my lowest [/] You picked me up, breathed new life in me [/] I owe my life to you [/] But for the life of me I don't see why you don't see like I do.'"
Fittingly, the song that turned her on to Slim Shady was "Stan," which she heard when she was a teenager. "It blew me away," the nail technician said. She added, "He's been the one constant in my life, and I have seen him perform live." (I'd hope so!)
In April 2019, the term "stan" was officially added to Webster's Dictionary.
Not everyone is as artistic in expressing their love for Marshall Mathers. Earlier this year, a crazed fan broke into the soon-to-be 48-year-old's Michigan home and claimed he was going to kill him.
