Roddy Ricch offered GQ an inside look at what his life has been like during quarantine – from cooking salmon for dinner to daily boxing lessons – and spoke about his upcoming album. (He's in no rush.) 😎

While he claims he could "drop a new album right now," the 21-year-old is opting to take his time instead.

"It’s really not about it being ready or not ready," he suggested. "It's more about the timing. I really just drop when I feel like it. The next album is going to be a full-blown masterpiece. A real idea. A real body of work."

Yet he also said that quarantine hasn't changed his approach to making music, as "less is more" is the formula right now. "Because then when I step in the booth I’ll say some crazy s***," he said. "I could work for two or three days and make fifty songs. And then I’ll step away for like a week. Less is more."

Whenever new music does arrive, fans should expect even more soul to be infused into Roddy's already passion-filled style. Snoh Aalegra, Charlie Wilson and Stevie Wonder have been on repeat at his crib.

"Certain music is created for going crazy – you’re in Miami, top down, 2 a.m. ... That’s when you listen to Uzi or DaBaby," he added. "But right now I’m in the Hills tucked up. I ain’t driving fast right now."
