Quavo's athletic abilities are well-documented, from setting a single-game record for completions as the starting quarterback for Berkmar High School to playing in three straight NBA All-Star Celebrity Games.
If he wasn't a trendsetting rapper, there's no telling how far he could've gone with sports. But he seems more than satisfied in his role as a weekend warrior, running pick-up games and embarrassing opponents.
Most recently, Quavo shared this highlight of him picking someone's pocket, pushing the ball down the court and hitting a smooth Euro-step before finishing with his left hand.
Savage: Attempting to block the layup, the desperate defender crashes into the ground. As if that's not already rough enough, Huncho then put the dude on blast in front of his 18.5 million Instagram followers, tagging him in the caption. (Prayers up.)
Speaking with Sports Illustrated close to a year ago, Quavo discussed the connection between hoops and his favorite sport, the rap game. "Basketball is hip-hop. Hip-hop is basketball," he said. "It’s no way hip-hop would be around without basketball."
He continued, "It’s the best of both worlds. They give us excitement on the TV screen, we give them excitement for the whip, for them to listen to, the way to live, for the world. It’s the culture."
It's unclear whether Quavo's girl Saweetie can rival him on the hardwood, but she can definitely hold her own on a television set. She's making a cameo as a "mean-ass" woman named Indigo in an episode of the Freeform sitcom 'Grown-ish.'
You gonna watch? The episode airs on Jan. 21 and features Joey Bada$$ as well as "Celebrity Client #1." Check out the teaser clip above.
