Pop Smoke Posters In New York and Los Angeles Are Hiding Unreleased Music
| LAST UPDATE 07/12/2021
Pop Smoke's second posthumous album, 'Faith,' is releasing this Friday, and fans are getting an early preview of what's to come via promotional posters around New York and Los Angeles.
They reveal unreleased music when activated with the "Pop Smoke Forever" Snapchat lens.
Two of the hidden snippets feature Pop's rugged voice gliding across dark, high-energy beats that align with the Brooklyn drill sub-genre he pioneered. There's also a third track that moves in an upbeat pop and dance direction, reflecting Pop's range and mainstream potential.
In fact, global superstar Dua Lipa is rumored to be a guest on the upcoming album. The British singer posted a clip of Pop grooving to her multi-Platinum hit "One Kiss" produced by Calvin Harris and wrote, "You Can't Say Pop Without The Smoke – 16 July."
While a Dua Lipa x Pop Smoke record sounds random at first, it makes some sense considering Pop's affinity for working with UK-bred talent like producer 808Melo, who crafted his biggest hits, "Dior" and "Welcome to the Party."
NBA YoungBoy is another name floating online as a possible guest.
Steven Victor, Pop Smoke's manager, shared the gritty cover art for 'Faith' on Monday, July 12th.
Pop's most recent album, 'Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon,' was one of the best-selling albums of 2020, surpassing 2 million copies sold in the U.S.
