The moment Playboi Carti stans around the globe have been waiting for for what seems like an eternity seems to be on the horizon. Carti announced on Monday that his almost mythical sophomore album 'Whole Lotta Red' had finally been "TuRneD iN."

This news came mere hours after a GQ profile was published about Carti as part of the publication's Men of the Year rundown. Speaking on 'WLR," the Virgo said the sound of the music will be "alternative" and "psyched out."

However, he didn't make any promises on the timing of the project, simply replying, "We'll see," when asked whether he would deliver the album this year. Similar to his 'Die Lit' debut, 'WLR' is being released through A$AP Rocky's ambiguous Interscope imprint called AWGE.

Furthering the buzz around 'WLR' is that Carti made a rare appearance on IG Live and played a snippet of an unheard banger boasting the chorus, "I'm serving that bass!"

He was also reportedly spotted shooting a music video over the weekend. One source claimed he was just making a cameo in Pi'erre Bourne's unreleased video for "Playstation" though.

Away from the Atlanta studio where he spends most of his time if he's not home, Carti is also making moves in the fashion world. His signature baby voice previously narrated an obscure Givenchy ad where he shouts the brand name in different ways. "It’s big for me," Carti said regarding the Givenchy partnership. "I’ve waited all my life for s**t like this."

Interestingly, clothing and style have played a significant role in Carti's career tracing back to his SoundCloud days when he was "broke" and still working at an H&M store. A fan recognized him and told him he liked his songs, prompting the aspiring rapper to "quit H&M like two days later."

Shout out to the day-one supporters!
