Pi'erre Bourne's 'The Life Of Pi'erre 5' Features Lil Uzi & Playboi Carti
| LAST UPDATE 06/07/2021
Though he's most widely known as a trendsetting producer, Pi'erre Bourne makes catchy music as an artist, too, mixing auto-tuned vocals with 16-bit-styled beats.
In fact, he's getting ready to deliver a new album, 'The Life Of Pi'erre 5,' including raps from Lil Uzi and Playboi Carti.
Dropping this Friday, June 11th, Uzi appears on "Sossboy 2" while Carti is featured on "Switching Lanes." (Sossboy is both Pi'erre's nickname and the inspiration behind his label imprint, Sosshouse Records.)
Pi'erre and Carti have worked on countless songs together since 2017, from Carti's breakout out "Magnolia" to the 'Whole Lotta Red' cut "Place," but this is only their third official collab as artists.
Pi'erre and Uzi have never dropped before as an artist duo, but he produced several tracks on the deluxe version of 'Eternal Atake,' like "Bean (Kobe)" with Chief Keef and "Yessirskiii" with 21 Savage.
He's also the mastermind behind probably the most cherised Uzi and Carti collab, "wokeuplikethis*."
Plus, Carti will have "more verses" on the upcoming 'TLOP 5' deluxe. Pi'erre revealed this fact to get ahead of a rumored album leak. "Since everything leaking might as well inform y’all," he tweeted.
Pi'erre, 27, launched 'The Life Of Pi'erre' series roughly 4 years ago on SoundCloud, the only platform where the tapes were available until 2019's 'TLOP 4,' released in partnership with Interscope.
This 5th installment is the most anticipated one yet, though. Pi'erre's recent single, "4U," has racked up more than 3 million plays on YouTube, and he's eclipsed the 1.5 million monthly listeners mark on Spotify.
