The talk show mogul, who's actual bank account/net worth is worth close to $2.5 billion, recently revealed her feelings about the catchy song she inspired.
“I love it. I love it. I loveeeeee it! Yes, I love it!” she told the Associated Press.
Currently sitting at over 12 million views on YouTube, Yachty dropped the song and video a few weeks ago in celebration of the fourth anniversary of his debut mixtape, Lil Boat, as well as the two-year anniversary of Lil Boat 2. Fittingly, the collaboration is the first single off Yachty's upcoming album, Lil Boat 3.
It also helped Drake break the record for most Billboard Hot 100 entries ever with 208.
Directed by Director X, the lighthearted video stars Yachty as Boprah, host of The Boprah Show. Not only does (s)he recreate Oprah-style interviews with Drake and DaBaby, but (s)he also pays homage to the iconic clip of Oprah gifting everyone in her audience with a free car.
Oprah still hasn't watched the video, though. (Maybe she's just protecting herself from the sight of Lil Yachty in drag. 😂)
“I haven’t seen the video,” she admitted. “But it’s nice to be in a Drake song no matter what — especially for your bank account, OK!”
While the song ended up being a banger, Yachty wasn't originally planning on tapping Drake and DaBaby. “It’s so crazy because I originally wanted to put Lizzo on it,” he told Complex. “I sent it to her, and I don't want to say she didn't like it, because she never got back to me on it, which was cool. I understand people are busy."
Drizzy later reached out to Yachty after hearing a snippet on his finsta. Wonder what other tricks Boat has up his sleeve. 🤔
