The MTV Video Music Awards are always a memorable evening, and this year was no different. Between epic performances, big wins, and tributes to hip-hop, this event was not one to miss, and Nicki Minaj was at the center of it all. She performed multiple times, gave fans a sneak peek into her upcoming albumPink Friday 2, and more.

The rapper's upcoming album is her fifth studio album and is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023. Nearly two months ahead of its drop date, Minaj teased what we can all expect to be jamming out to soon. During a solo performance, she sang her latest single, Last Time I Saw You, for a live audience for the first time. After rocking out on those bars, she said to the crowd, "It wouldn't be right if I didn't give y'all a Pink Friday 2 exclusive." Cue major cheers from the crowd. Minaj flowed directly into a bass-heavy track and started rapping along. If this is a glimpse into her upcoming album, we are already counting down the days until November.

Minaj said in her acceptance speech, "You guys, thank you so much. You know what? So often I joke around and play around and stuff, but tonight, I don't know why, but this morning when I woke up, I had this really strong sense of gratitude. And that's the truth."

It's been a big year for the Queen of Rap. She collaborated with Ice Spice on the hit song Barbie World for the new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie. So, what can fans expect next? Stay tuned as we find out...
