The queen of rap, Nicki Minaj, has some exciting news for her loyal fans. After a decade since her debut album Pink Friday, the Trinidadian rapper and singer-songwriter is all set to drop its sequel - Pink Friday 2. And that's not all; she revealed that there's some exciting news coming up that led to the delay in the album release date.
In a social media post, the 40-year-old rapper revealed her upcoming album's name, while also explaining why the release date is being pushed back. She wrote, “Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit. Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out so…here it goes: MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23- and she shall be called: #PinkFriday2." Minaj also promised her fans that the wait would be worth it, and they'll love every bit of the album. She expressed her gratitude for their support over the years and promised to share more details about the album closer to the release date.
To celebrate the occasion, Minaj shared a temporary cover image from her Pink Friday debut, in honor of her first studio album. The cover features Minaj in a cream tulle gown with embellishments, baby pink high-heeled boots, and a pink wig with bangs. Her fans are already hyped about the news, eagerly anticipating the album's release. Fellow singer-songwriter Ariana Grande expressed her excitement, commenting on Minaj’s Instagram announcement with, “We are ready and grateful”. Rapper JT from hip hop duo City Girls even made a special request to Minaj, asking for a song like Save Me to be included in the album.

Alongside working on her solo projects, Minaj has also teamed up with rapper Ice Spice for a single on the new Barbie film. The collaboration resulted in the single Barbie World with a pink-filled music video released on June 23rd.
