Fans of YoungBoy Never Broke Again have been writing him letters while he awaits trial for a pair of federal weapons charges at a Louisiana jail. He recently surprised one passionate supporter with a phone call letting her know how thankful he is for all the love.

"I was calling to thank you for writing me," YoungBoy says. “I got your letter, it made me smile." A good smile is likely needed for the 21-year-old. During an IG Live session just prior to his arrest, he admitted he felt "lost."

"Oh my gosh, you’re welcome," the girl responds, clearly overwhelmed with excitement. "I love you so much." She then gets another compliment from YoungBoy for seemingly sharing a photo of her bedroom. "I fell in love with your room it was so cool," he says, in an unfamiliar soft tone.

Though he's been behind bars for a little over a month, YoungBoy is still at the top of the latest YouTube music chart, tallying nearly 39 million views last week. That's more than Bad Bunny, Lil Baby and Drake.

One of the newest updates on YoungBoy's legal situation is that he's reportedly working with Gucci Mane's attorney from the latter's 2006 murder case. (Gucci walked away free on the basis of self-defense.)

Fans will recall that on the chorus of his bouncy 2019 hit, "Make No Sense," YougnBoy declares, "I feel like I'm Gucci Mane in 2006!" He must've had a premonition.

Before this move, YoungBoy was denied a roughly $2 million bond after a Louisiana state attorney decided he's a "danger to the community."
