Megan Thee Stallion Shows Off Fashion Nova Collection Before 'Good News'
| LAST UPDATE 06/01/2022
Staying true to her "Hot Girl" mentality, Megan Thee Stallion is warming up for the release of her first official album 'Good News' by unveiling a massive 106-piece clothing collection with Fashion Nova.
One of the coolest elements of the collaborative release is that all of the products are branded after the Houston rapper's signature mottos and moods, i.e., the "Call Him Captain Hook" mesh jeans, the "Oh She Rich Rich" skirt and the "Freak Nasty" pant set. Meg recently premiered a few of the exclusive jean styles on social media.
In an interview with Vogue, Meg broke down what she's trying to accomplish with the all-encompassing collection and the experience of partnering with Fashion Nova to create her own looks.
"I want women of all heights, sizes, and shapes to see themselves represented, and to know that they are being thought of," she explained. "To try something on the first time and be like, 'Wow, this just fits me perfectly,' with no adjustments needed. When you’re taller or curvier, that doesn’t happen that often, and it’s a really good feeling that everyone deserves to have. I got really tired of ordering jeans and them fitting like capris. I know tall girls felt my pain!"
On the Fashion Nova experience: "Honestly, working with Fashion Nova was great. They really allowed me to be creative. I love having freedom to express myself, so not only was I so excited to be creating a collection for women like me, I was also excited to be able to watch my vision unfold. The beautiful thing with fashion is you have all these ideas, and when they are executed, you see all kinds of women wearing what was once just ideas in your head – the vision literally comes to life. It’s really amazing."
You can browse the entire drop on Fashion Nova's website and can stream the 17-track project 'Good News' with appearances from SZA, DaBaby, Lil Durk, Popcaan and others beginning this Friday.
