The anniversary of Mac Miller's Macadelic record fell on March 23, 2022. But it wasn't just a regular anniversary: it has been 10 years since he first dropped the iconic mixtape online for fans to digitally download - which has been around 1.3 million times! To celebrate this, the estate of the late rapper decided to urate a remastered version of the songs and put it on vinyl. Not only will it honor his music but also the incredible work Mac did before he tragically left us. Here's what you need to know about the drop.
Back in 2012, Mac created the album shortly after putting out his debut one, which was titled Blue Side Park. The young star was just starting out at the time as a fresh-faced 20-year-old. Little did he know at the time how much he would still be celebrated even after he was sadly long gone. This drop marks the first time that Macadelic ever got a vinyl. In 2018, a remastered version was dropped commercial - but this release contains a few extra things for buyers to enjoy.
Alongside the remastered songs, fans will also receive never before seen footage of the artist at the time that he was curating the album, which included the hit track, Loud. The clips show everything from him working in the studio to many concert moments, and even a conversation that he had with his inner circle. We get to see the way Mac was committed and passionate about working with music. We have no doubt fans will love the videos. But that's not all! The vinyl also contains an embossed cover that has three-color segment LPs as well as an 11×17 poster.

This isn't the first time Mac's memory was honored. Not long ago, on what would have been his 30th birthday on January 19, 2022, many fellow hip-hop artists paid tribute to the late rapper. In 2018, before Mac suddenly passed away, he was planning his tour for his album Swimming. He was supposed to be joined by Thunderstorm, who had kind words to say for Mac's bday. "I hope that on your birthday, the clarity, and places and spaces that you've always wanted to go to, see and feel—I hope that you feel that infinitely," said Thundercat. Make sure you grab a vinyl here before they're sold out. The proceed will be given to the Mac Miller Fund.
