As someone who's been rhyming since he was 9 years old, Lil Wayne has dropped countless memorable lyrics.

Weezy is still rapping at a high level at 39 years old, but now it can take him up to "seven weeks" to come up with just two lines. That turned out to be an issue for Machine Gun Kelly.

Wayne explained in an interview with the 'I Am Athlete' show, "I've said so much I don't ever wanna say the same thing."

Plus, he likes to keep his references and words as relevant as possible to forge a strong connection with fans. "There were certain things I could have said to my audience in '95 that you're not trying to hear right now," he said.

There are instances, though, where Weezy might be forced to turn around a guest verse at the last minute, usually to help another artist meet a deadline. He called out Machine Gun Kelly and said that's what happened with their collab track "ay!" for MGK's new album 'Mainstream Sellout.'

Ironically, MGK dragged Wayne on Twitter back in 2010 for allegedly repeating the line "life's a b***h" in four separate songs, labeling it "annoying."

He seems to have gained a greater appreciation for Weezy's skills, especially with "ay!" racking up over 7 million plays on YouTube.

Elsewhere during his interview, Wayne recalled what drew him to Drake when he heard his music for the first time in the late 2000s. "You can make working in a cubicle . . . you know how to make that s**t sound like the dopest thing in the world to do," he said to him.

But when Weezy discovered Drizzy could sing, too, he had to sign him to Young Money.

A few years later, there were even talks of a possible joint album, though Drake told XXL they "scrapped the idea," as they didn’t want to "get caught in this whirlwind of hype" with comparisons to Kanye and Jay-Z's 'Watch The Throne' from 2011.

DaBaby on the other hand wants all the smoke with Ye and Hov.

Describing his new 'Better Than You' joint tape with NBA YoungBoy, he claimed, "It ain't been no collab project that's f****n' around with that since . . . you probably gotta go to 'Watch The Throne,' Jay-Z and Kanye type s**t."
