Since the rise of his mixtape, Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World, back in 2016, Lil Uzi Vert has developed an extremely loyal fanbase. However, it's been a minute since we've gotten new music from the rapper, and according to the artist, we won't have to wait any longer, as new music is dropping soon.

The Philly native first stepped on the scene in early 2016 when they appeared at an A$AP Mob show in NYC, and a few weeks later, released the single Money Longer together. Just like that, their name blew up, and people wanted to hear more of the artist's unique rap meets rock sound. Following the release of Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World, the young artist linked up with Kodak Black, and their career skyrocketed. They began collaborating with some of the most prominent artists in the industry, from Metro Boomin to Future, Gucci Mane, and Migos. Although they recently released an EP titled Red & White, fans have been patiently awaiting The Pink Tape, a full-length project Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing since December 2020.

Although fans are loving all the new music they've been releasing, Reddit users began sharing their doubts on whether or not The Pink Tape is actually ever arriving. Uzi clapped back to the user that claimed fans have been "waiting too long," and the album isn't ever dropping by confirming there is actually music on the way. Although he didn't confirm the news of The Pink Tape release, he did write back, "That's why I'm dropping in February… New s***, new sound, no mid," with pink heart and winking-eye emojis.

According to the Just Wanna Rock singer, they are taking time to perfect the album and in no rush to drop it until it's exactly where it should be. "Well, it’s going through mixing process right now because last time I dropped an album, it did really well," they said. "It was actually my highest-selling album, but it was a little bit experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music, so this time, I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing." So, stay tuned for an official release date for Uzi's The Pink Tape!
