Lil Uzi Vert and Future finna shake up the game. 😩
When a rapper deletes all the visuals from their Instagram page, fans can't help but think something huge is on the way.
That seems to be the case for two of hip-hop's most dominant stars, Lil Uzi Vert and Future, who first stoked anticipation for a collab supposedly coming Friday, July 31st, with a teaser video directed by Hype Williams. It's the only content on both of their IGs as of Thursday afternoon.
Details remain limited, but Uzi's label Generation Now has confirmed the two artists will be delivering an entire collab project. When exactly that will arrive remains unclear.
Understandably, many people were speculating Friday would be the day. That's also Uzi's 26th birthday,
Generation Now boss Don Cannon quickly laid those rumors to rest, instructing Akademiks in the comments of a post about the suspected release date, "Get ya info right champ."
Well, during a recent Twitch stream, Akademiks revealed he had a trick up his own sleeve, playing a snippet of the duo's unheard lead single that finds Uzi deep in his bag, straining his voice to the perfect degree.
"Made it straight to the top got a whole lot to lose / Keep on askin' me s**t tryna find the truth / I said, 'Baby I'm better off lyin' to you," Uzi exclaims.
At 25 and 36 years old respectively, Uzi and Future have been super active this year, dropping three total albums and each earning platinum plaques for their efforts. Future's High Off Life just recently passed the 1 million units sold mark.
Can't wait for Baby Pluto and Pluto to whisk us away to whatever planet they call home.
