Lil Nas X is branching out beyond music to become a children's author. He announced this week that his debut book, C is for Country, is set to be released this coming January.

“I’m dropping the best kids book of all time soon!” he wrote on Instagram. "I can't wait to share it with you all. You can pre-order it right now at the link in my bio." His short catalog of music is already pretty PG, after all.

The main character of the novel is Panini the pony, whose name is inspired by Lil Nas X's 5x-platinum, second-career single. According to Random House Kids, the book's publisher, it follows the pony "on a joyous journey through the alphabet from sunup to sundown."

Additional context: "Experience wide-open pastures, farm animals, guitar music, cowboy hats, and all things country in this debut picture book that’s perfect for music lovers learning their ABCs and for anyone who loves Nas’s signature genre-blending style."

It's recommended for children between the ages of 3-7, but there's no shame in pre-ordering if you already know the alphabet and are just a stan.

Besides exploring youth learning, the 21-year-old artist is putting the finishing touches on his sophomore album, as he claimed, "the old town road money running out."

An update on his IG bio reads, "ALBUM: 98% DONE."
