| LAST UPDATE 01/12/2022
As one of the most fearless artists in the hip-hop world, Kodak Black is now challenging Jay-Z's greatness. Yak didn't hesitate to propose this risky bet involving Hov, his company Roc Nation and millions of dollars…

Jay-Z went viral recently when he asserted, "No one can stand on that stage with me. It's not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me," when speaking on a possible Verzuz hit-for-hit battle. This flex didn't sit well with Kodak, who just clapped back.
"I'll do a [Verzuz] wit Jay Z 'IF' he win he get 15% of my catalog ! I win he make me Vice President of Roc Nation," Kodak wagered.
With timeless tracks like "Tunnel Vision" and "Skrt," plus newer YouTube hits like "Super Gremlin," it's likely Yak's catalog is worth millions. Roc Nation is Hov's talent management firm for music and sports.
Recall that Future also claimed, "In the streets I'm bigger then Jigga," after Kanye made a surprise cameo during his headlining set at Rolling Loud LA. He even reposted this bold message: "I Promise You, ErrBody From Atlanta Feels Like Pluto Can Win A Verzuz Against Hov!"
Jay hasn't publicly responded to Kodak or Future. Many fans believe that Hov – a certified legend whose career spans four separate decades – would beat Kodak in the hypothetical matchup.
While he only has 3 million more Spotify monthly listeners than Kodak right now, Jay has 11x as many top 10 hits on the Hot 100 (22 vs. 2).
Still, hip-hop tends to favor the young, and Kodak puts up huge view counts online. The 24-year-old's latest visuals for "Nightmare Before Christmas" sit at nearly 8 million views. Near the end, he talks about how happy is to be home for his first Christmas since leaving prison last year.
Unfortunately, Kodak again found himself in trouble with the law on New Years' Eve.
He was arrested on trespassing charges near his home city of Pompano Beach, FL after violating an old cease-and-desist letter that his lawyer later suggested was never officially served. He was swiftly released on a $25 bond.
Now, that he's out, he's going viral (again) for getting freaky while dancing with his date at the Florida Panthers vs. Vancouver Canucks game. (Next to the Owners' suite.)
The Panthers brought that same freaky energy, winning 5-2.
