Kodak went to his brother John Wicks' birthday party the other week where he and their Haitian mother, Marcelene Octave, danced together to merengue music. Things turned weird when Kodak squeezed her behind not once but twice, prompting some to call the move "disgusting."
The 24-year-old took to Instagram to try and explain why he feels comfortable being so touchy with his mom, but his words only confused viewers more. "I grab my mama 'cause, b***h, I treat my mama like my lady, n***a," Kodak said. "That’s my queen, n***a. F**k you talkin' bout?"
"Some of you n****s don't even holla at your mama," Yak added. "Some of you n****s don't even call y'all mama, homie. Some of you n****s don't spend time with your mama, homie. How you expect to love a b***h if you don't love your ole girl, you know what I'm sayin'?"
Kodak was also adamant his mom "ain't trippin'" over his behavior and that he likes to fondle her to "make her feel real beautiful. It remind her, 'Mama, you beautiful. I'm f****d up 'bout you, ma. I'm in love with you.'"
Fans were shocked. "This made it worse," one commented on the above Say Cheese TV post. "Nah I fw yak but this ain't it gang," wrote another.
Punch, president of Kendrick Lamar's record label Top Dawg Entertainment, spoke on the situation when it first went viral. "That young man Kodak is sick for touching his mother that way, and he needs help." He later apologized for not considering "differences in lifestyle, culture, upbringing."
In other Kodak news, TMZ is reporting that he's violated the terms of his supervised release from prison after failing two separate drug tests for weed and ecstasy since February.
His new remix of Nardo Wick's "Who Want Smoke?" feat. Chief Keef also includes a line where he admits to using the hallucinogen PCP, also known as angel dust. "Everywhere I go I got my TEC and that's a bet, even on B-E-T / I don't care 'bout this check, I'm living wreck, I be on PCP," he raps.
