Less than a week away from Juice WRLD's fourth official and second posthumous album 'Fighting Demons,' the 999 hype is climbing thanks to an unexpected new single featuring Justin Bieber.
Called "Wandered To LA," the guitar-driven track is molded by the two superstars' struggles with addiction and depression.
The teaser clip shared with Juice's 12 million IG fans on what would've been his 23rd birthday on Thursday includes interview clips with those close to him recalling his plans to check into rehab before he accidentally overdosed on codeine and oxycodone in Dec. 2019.
"We already had him signed up for rehab," Lil Bibby, co-founder of Juice's label Grade A Productions told Vlad TV earlier this year.
He continued, "I found out that he was doing four (Percocets at a time). So I get to freaking out, like, 'What the f**k.' I get to telling people, 'Look we got to send this kid to rehab.' I'm telling everyone because I'm thinking, 'That's a lot.' Because all the people I know only do at the max one."
As part of its annual Wrapped series, Spotify revealed that Juice was the 10th most-streamed artist globally in 2021 with roughly 5 billion plays. (Drake is the only other rapper in the top 10.) Last year, Juice garnered the most streams in the US across all artists on the platform.
Eminem, one of Juice's idols and collaborators via "Godzilla," is making headlines as well thanks to his daughter Hailie Jade.
She's one of the most well-known daughters in rap. Not only has Em name-dropped her on wax multiple times but he's used their sometimes shaky relationship as inspiration for tracks like "When I'm Gone," "Mockingbird" and more.
This deep connection to his music has turned Hailie into a huge fan.
The 25-year-old – she turns 26 on Christmas – posted a video including a snippet from her Spotify Wrapped that crowns Eminem as her Top Artist from 2021. She's also in the top 3% of his listeners in terms of consumption.
Hailie appears to be a full-time influencer with nearly 2.6 million total followers on IG and TikTok.
