Few producers have a catalog comparable to No I.D.

Even fewer are familiar with his newfound level of financial success, as the trailblazing Chicago beatsmith just sold his entire 273-song portfolio to the UK-based Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited.

As of Thursday, Hipgnosis owns "100% of his worldwide copyrights and publishing royalties, including writer’s share of income," per Music Business Worldwide. In other words, Hipgnosis will collect all the money his music earns in the future.

No I.D.'s production credits are vast and include some of the biggest hits of the past decade or so: From JAY-Z, Kanye and Rihanna's "Run This Town," Kanye's "Heartless" and Big Sean's debut album, Finally Famous, to Drake's "Find Your Love," much of Hov's Magna Carta Holy Grail and Logic's entire last album, No Pressure

"Not many have the best intentions for the artist and the creators," he said in a statement. "Merck and the Hipgnosis team have shown that they are a safe home for the songs that score our lives."

A Hipgnosisexecutive offered high praise for No I.D., real name Ernest Dion Wilson, calling him a "special creator" and suggesting he "has been in the middle of everything that is great about hip-hop for more than two decades."

Dollar figures for the deal weren't disclosed, but with over 7 billion streams and countless copies sold, you can bet he's eating damn good!
