How Lil Yachty Went From Modeling For Kanye West To Rapping On 'Donda'

Among many high-profile rappers, Lil Yachty is expected to make a guest appearance on Kanye's anticipated new album, 'Donda.' His journey toward collaborating with one of the best hip-hop artists ever started about 5 years ago when he was "broke" modeling in Kanye's fashion show.
In Feb. 2016, Yachty flew to New York "with probably $70 to my name" for the Yeezy Season 3 show at Madison Square Garden, which doubled as the iconic listening party for 'The Life Of Pablo.' Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Kim Kardashian and countless others were in attendance.
Thinking back to the experience this past February, Yachty wrote, "I feel like my life changed from this day on. My mom and friends cheered me on via text."
Now, Yachty, 23, is featured on what's expected to be the 4th song on 'Donda,' titled "I'm Not Okay" featuring Rooga and Fivio Foreign.
The snippet, played last week during a listening event at Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where Kanye was living for a couple of weeks, finds Yachty breaking down a few of his values, like loyalty – "If I see disloyalty then we gon' cut 'em loose!" – and trust.
He also shouts out the late Juice WRLD: "Double cup fill to the top, with the serenity juice / Moment of silence, R.I.P to Juice."
Though Kid Cudi is much closer with Ye, his euphoric hums and rhymes were requested only recently, per this tweet he shared: "I wasn't on Donda when I tweeted that I wasn't. Ye hit me the followin' week and we made it work. Realest n***a alive. No need to lie to kick it ."
Cudi's tentatively listed on 2 of 24 total tracks: "Moon" and "Remote." You can see the full list of known features below, including Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Playboi Carti and more.
