Ahead of his forthcoming sophomore album, Gunna has emerged with a smooth new single, "SKYBOX."

Paired with a playful video, Gunna sounds especially sharp as he pops in and out of the euphoric, electric guitar-infused instrumental. This one sounds like it's made for a celebratory evening in Miami. And with lyrics like "Smoke Lodi Dodi, we sit in the lobby, we just rented out the whole floor," Yung Gunna's mood certainly matches the occasion.

The visual, directed by Spike Johnson, starts off with Gunna in claymation form floating along in a hot air balloon. He's suddenly flicked away by a giant woman, sending him swirling into the ground. He then wakes up in human form and proceeds to wander into a remote Middle Eastern village in the hills. It wouldn't be a Gunna video without a little flashiness and fun, so turning up with the local residents while wearing a loosely-buttoned linen shirt and silk headscarf is a must.

"SKYBOX" is the first song in the lead-up to his second album, Wunna, which was announced earlier this week with a 55-second mini movie. Filmed in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the 26-year-old Atlanta artist gives us a taste of the good life as he lounges around with a few lovely ladies in a squeaky clean mansion. Though no release date has been revealed, YSL Records, Gunna's label, certified the meaning behind the video by commenting, "It’s time 🐍💚💧."

It's been a little over a year since we first heard Gunna's debut album, Drip or Drown 2, but he's been killing the features circuit in the meantime. With recent guest verses for Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, A Boogie wit Da Hoodie, Roddy Ricch and the late Pop Smoke, Gunna has been so ubiquitous across hip-hop's top echelon that he's spawned a running joke among critics and fans. 🤣
