French Montana, Lil Wayne Host Hometown Turkey Drives Ahead Of Thanksgiving
| LAST UPDATE 11/24/2020
It's turkey drive season, so French Montana and Lil Wayne hosted a pair of philanthropic get-togethers in their respective hometowns to help out families in need with Thanksgiving around the corner.
The Coke Boys captain partnered with the nonprofit City Harvest to supply over 500 turkeys to residents living in his Bronx, NY, borough before shutting down the streets with another local legend, Jim Jones.
It's a rare public showing including the two former rivals. Back in April, they squashed their yearslong beef on Instagram Live together. "If there’s anybody out there watching from the young n****s, man, learn from this," French said. "Don't waste 15 years in the game when y'all could have been getting all kinds of bags together."
Jones agreed and added, "There’s a lot of foolish beefs and foolish shootings and there’s a lot going on right now with everybody cooped up in the house."
Certifying their mutual respect is that Jones is featured on the opening song of French's new mixtape, 'CB5.' The former Dispet leader acknowledges their newfound love as the sample builds: "Dipset, Coke Boys / Something epic, you know?"
Meanwhile, Weezy announced that he and former pro football player Laron Landry would be delivering birds to peoples' homes in New Orleans. It's unclear whether Wayne actually had his boots on the ground though.
Once Thanksgiving is done, French, Lil Wayne and several others like Wiz Khalifa, DaBaby and YG will perform some tunes during Mike Tyson's highly-anticipated bout against Roy Jones Jr. this Saturday, Nov. 28. Jake Paul is also fighting Nate Robinson on the undercard.
The event will stream exclusively on Triller. You tuning in?
