Drake finally gave fans a first look at his two-year-old son Adonis Graham.
Drizzy has been very private about his son Adonis and the relationship they share. Besides pictures of birthday celebrations, the occasional interview revelation or mention in a song, he rarely gives a peek behind the curtain.
But early Monday morning, Drake threw his 65 million Instagram followers for a spin by posting multiple photos of his son alongside a lengthy caption about the importance of family and positivity during these trying times. "What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light," he wrote.
The message continues: "It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past or what is happening around us now, you can always make the choice to break free of the wheel of suffering and panic and open up to your own light."
Drake finishes by writing, "I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on."
The series of photos also includes a vintage shot of Drake's parents as well as a family portrait with Adonis' mother, Sophie Brussaux. You can view the full post below.
Shortly after, Brussaux shared several of her own candid pictures of Adonis and a heartfelt caption. "Thanking God everyday for blessing me with such a beautiful family and amazing friends," she wrote.
She also addressed their clear hairstyle discrepancy by including a meme of her and Drake with blonde hair. 😂
During their infamous feud in 2018, Pusha-T exposed Drake for having a low-key son on the diss track "The Story of Adidon." Drake never retaliated, but the Toronto artist confirmed the rumors on several Scorpion tracks, including "Emotionless" and "8 Out of 10."
In a late 2019 interview with Rap Radar, Drizzy spoke on why he was initially hesitant to reveal the news about his fatherhood. "I actually did a DNA test for my son and [the lab] came back to us and they said that the DNA test got ruined in transit," he said, meaning it wasn't confirmed whether he was Adonis' father.
As a result, he didn't want to rush to conclusions. "I was in a really weird, pending situation where I didn't wanna go tell the world that that was my son and it wasn't," he said. "And if you see my son, you understand why."
He also addressed why he had never posted a photo of his son at the time, saying that the "world's f*ckin' crazy." Drizzy's pessimism was confirmed on Monday as many people were quick to bring up Pusha-T as well as make fun of Adonis' light skin tone and curly hair.
He's too cute though!
