Rapper PnB Rock has officially been pronounced dead after being fatally shot while dining with his girlfriend, Steph Sibounheuang, at a Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles restaurant in Inglewood, California. Born Rakim Hasheem Allen, the Philly native, was just 30 years old and a father of two. Artists and fans worldwide have joined together in mourning the talented musician, sharing thoughtful messages all over social media.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the young rapper was shot during what appeared to be a robbery attack and was rushed to the hospital just minutes after the shooting, but died within 45 minutes. The suspect entered the spot, demanding the rapper to hand over his jewelry, and "he shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot," according to the Los Angeles police Captain Kelly Muniz. A source connected to the fast-food joint reported the shooter looked like he targeted PnB in the robbery, as he posted a video of himself earlier in the day wearing some pricey bling.

Members of the hip-hop community have taken to their social media to share their condolences, memories, prayers, and words of love in honor of the great artist. The artist signed a deal with Atlantic Records following his 2014 mixtape and since then has collaborated with artists such as Chance the Rapper, Wiz Khalifa, Ed Sheeran, 2 Chainz, Kodak Black, and more. Fellow rapper, Drake, took to his social media to share a throwback photo of the two hanging out, in addition to Meek Mill, who shared a great throwback pic. Fellow rappers Juicy J and Offset took to their Twitter to write heartfelt messages honoring the late artist. "Pray for pnb rock….the man got family and kids smh God be with the man," Offset tweeted.

Audiences pointed out the shooting feels uncomfortably similar to Pop Smoke, who was killed due to a burglary last February after his whereabouts were posted on social media. It has been suggested the Gang Up rapper was located in a similar way after his location was revealed on social media. Following the matter, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to urge rappers to be more cautious about leaking their whereabouts, in addition to sending her condolences to his family. RIP PnB Rock.
