Drake's decade-long streak of No. 1 album debuts has come to an end at the hands of country singer Kenny Chesney. šŸ˜

Billboard recently released the latest numbers for their Billboard 200 album chart, which showed Drake's Dark Lane Demo Tapes debuting at No. 2 behind Chesney's Here and Now. While Drizzy garnered 223,000 equivalent album units, he was 10,000 short of Chesney, who racked up 233,000.

Before this latest development, every one of Drake's projects following his 2009 breakout mixtape, So Far Gone, had debuted at No. 1. Even Care Package, which featured a lineup of previously leaked tracks similar to Dark Lane Demo Tapes, opened atop the Billboard 200 chart in August 2019.

Overall, Drizzy has seen 12 projects debut in the top 10, which is no small feat. Driving over 200k units is also impressive when you consider that this latest release was billed as a mixtape, not an album.

Like he says on "Summer Sixteen," Drake will be "looking for revenge" when his album arrives this summer. You can bet he'll be a favorite to regain that number one spot.

Speaking of revenge, Chesney's last album, 2018's Songs for the Saints, was denied a No. 1 debut by none other than Drake, whose most recent album, Scorpion, was in its fifth and final week on the throne.

This time around, the 52-year-old singer claimed his ninth No. 1 album, tying Garth Brooks for the most among country acts.

If there's one person who can afford to come in second place, it's Drake. In April, his viral hit "Toosie Slide" helped him make history as he became the first male artist to have three songs debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

He also recently tied Madonna for the most top 10 Hot 100 hits ever with 38.
