Drake is releasing a new single inspired by the trend of TikTok dance challenges.

From "The Renegade" to the "Get Loose Challenge," choreographed hip-hop dances have been taking over TikTok.

Now it looks like Drake is officially getting in on the action after a snippet of a catchy new song with instructions for a dance appeared across the social media accounts of Toosie, a popular dancer, earlier this week. You can see Toosie and his crew showing off their moves in the clip below. 🕺

Fittingly dubbed the "Toosie Slide," Drake confirmed the new single will be dropping on Thursday at midnight in an Instagram post. His in-house visual director, Theo Skudra, also posted about the song, hinting that there may be a music video on the way.

Over a hard-hitting beat produced by OZ, who also has a credit on Future and Drake's "Life Is Good," Drizzy kicks things off with a few swag brags. "Black leather glove, no secret / buckles on the jacket it's elite sh*t," he raps.

Then the Toronto artist offers a step by step breakdown of how to slide like Toosie on the hook: "It go right foot up, left foot slide / left foot up, right foot slide / basically I'm sayin' either way we 'bout to slide."

While "Toosie Slide" sounds like Drake's most pointed effort yet at making a dance along, he's very familiar with how to provide the right tunes for a viral dance or challenge, even if it's not on purpose.

Back in 2018, recall that Shiggy created an infectious dance craze and challenge out of Drake's "In My Feelings." More recently, “Nonstop,” which appeared alongside "In My Feelings" on Drake’s album Scorpion, has inspired the #fliptheswitch challenge on TikTok and Instagram.
