Doja Cat Claims She's No Longer Enjoying Music, Teases Rap Album With 9th Wonder
| LAST UPDATE 01/06/2022
While 'Planet Her' has emerged as one of the best albums of 2021, Doja Cat wants to have more fun making music. She opened up about a lack of freedom and the enormous "pressure" she feels during a recent livestream…

Doja hosted an IG Live session the other week where she talked about wanting to "make music like willy nilly and just jam." However, she feels like she hasn't been able to do that in "maybe five years." The 26-year-old added, "I'm doing all this s**t that I don't f*****g wanna do."
There are some extracurricular superstar tasks that Doja enjoys: "planning a photoshoot" and "capturing a visual idea" or "fashion" and "dressing up." (Just watch the video for "Woman" with more than 41 million views.) But she's also willing to admit it's all turning a bit stale.
"But I feel pressured to do s**t like that," she explained. "I don't f*****g wanna do that. I wanna be home. I wanna make music, I wanna play f*****g video games." Turns out, Doja's cooked up a plan for what she's going to do to spice things up again, and it involves a new project.
She revealed she'd like to record a double album. But not just any double album – one side featuring seven tracks built around her signature pop-rap blend, and the other featuring 12 tracks of straight hip-hop.
Doja even knows her two ideal producers for the latter record: Jay Versace and 9th Wonder.
"I would love to do that. That would mesh really nice," she explained. It looks like both Jay Versace (credits for Tyler, The Creator + Westside Gunn + Boldy James), as well as the legendary 9th Wonder (credits for Jay-Z + J. Cole + Drake + Mac Miller + Little Brother), are down!
