Despite the pandemic slashing almost all revenue generated from touring, the flashiest figures in rap are still balling out for their birthdays. DaBaby turned 29 this week and didn't hesitate to let the good times roll.
First, he bought himself a brand new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 with a starting price of nearly $162,000. (The hydraulics system probably upped the cost a bit.) Later, he hopped in a cherry red muscle car as friends and family surrounded him in awe .
Go crazy! But DaBaby's car collection wasn't done expanding yet. His girlfriend DaniLeigh surprised him with a Lamborghini Huracan running about $215,000 off the lot. She copped her own Lambo for her 26th birthday the day earlier, too.
DaBaby expressed his appreciation to his 15.7 million IG followers. "Man I’ll cry on dis b***h bout how much genuine love a n***a felt last night," he captioned a series of shots from the celebration. "Love & appreciate every last one of y’all."
Extravagant gifts weren't the only reason DaBaby was making headlines. He caught many fans off-guard when he shared with XXL that he's planning to retire in five years.
"Five years, I'ma be retired in five years," he said. "I won’t be rapping in five years. I won't be rapping. I’ll be creating other superstars. Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, five years, definitely gonna be like one of the hottest labels in the game."
For now, dude is definitely making the most of his time in the spotlight. He recently worked with TNT to kick off the opening night of the 2021-21 NBA season alongside Dua Lipa.
