Hypebeasts rejoice: A Bathing Ape has teased an upcoming connection with Drake's OVO brand via Instagram, posting a camouflage-covered graphic that positions its iconic ape logo next to the OVO owl.
Not much additional info is available, though the IG caption promises that the collection is "coming soon."
This collaboration is the latest in a series of schemes by Drake and OVO to further establish themselves as a force in streetwear. The former is prepping a Certified Lover Boy-themed drop with help from Nike, while OVO as a whole has worked with niche yet beloved brands like Clarks Originals.
Last month, a Japan-exclusive BAPE magazine previewed what could be several of the featured looks, including T-shirts, hoodies, a trucker hat, a mask, crewneck sweaters, a jacket, phone cases and even tape.
Besides tapping Clarks Originals for a few of its own unique Wallabee and Desert Boot models, BAPE has debuted designs with COMME des GARÇONS and Star Wars this year. Kid Cudi mentioned there would be "news" on his second BAPE collection at one point, too. (Not to mention his Adidas capsule.)
Continuing the trend of OVO co-signs, Drizzy gifted 21 Savage a super icy owl pendant to congratulate him on the success of his Savage Mode II album. October has officially arrived.
