Quavo Stars in Commercial for 'Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time'

As a consequence of hip-hop's position at the forefront of popular music, artists are occasionally tapped for brand deals that feel canned and inauthentic. Quavo's endorsement of the new Crash Bandicoot game bucks this wack trend.
The Migos' frontman is a known fan of the series, originally released in 1996 as an exclusive title for Sony's PlayStation console. Most notably, Quavo owns an iced-out Aku Aku chain, depicting the deuteragonist wooden mask that guides Crash on his adventures.
This one of a kind pendant makes a cameo in the new 30-second trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Quavo befriends a Crash mascot before the two trade rhymes about gameplay features in the upcoming refresh, set to drop this Friday, Oct. 2, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
"Anti-gravity / Zero G's / Time slow / Slow-mo / Face shift / Fresh tricks," they rap back and forth.
When PlayStation offered Huncho a preview of Crash Bandicoot 4 earlier this year, Trippie Redd playfully argued on his Instagram Story that he was the rapper/fan who deserved a first-look the most.
"Guys, I'm appalled," he said, tagging Crash. "Growing up, my favorite game was Crash Bandicoot. Hands down, I have the biggest Crash Bandicoot chain. I got Uka Uka. Huge as f**k! I paid half a million for my chain. Why am I not playing the game before it come out?
"Shout out my dog Quavo. Like, damn! That’s my favorite all-time game and I’m not playing it early! Crash Bandicoot, we gotta do some talking, bruh. Real talk. Because I’ve been supporting for years!"
