Shia LaBeouf might be the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to We Got This Covered, which correctly broke the news of a She-Hulk show on Disney Plus about a year ago. 🥶

Insider sources are whispering that Marvel execs are eyeing LaBeouf as the lead prospect to play Iceman in an upcoming X-Men reboot.

Apparently, they've enjoyed seeing LaBeouf's recent resurgence via critically-acclaimed movies like The Peanut Butter Falcon and Honey Boy, which was written by LaBeouf too.

The plot of Honey Boy focuses on LaBeouf's tumultuous relationship with his father when he was just beginning his acting career on the Disney series Even Stevens. He takes on the challenging task of playing his dad, who made his living as a freelance clown.

Before his X-Men consideration, the 34-year-old was reportedly one of the names being tossed around for a starring role as Marvel's Moon Knight in another Disney Plus offering. But the actor has taken a backseat in recent weeks.

For the past four X-Men films, most recently in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, Canadian actor Shawn Ashmore has portrayed Iceman or Robert "Bobby" Drake, a mutant that can control ice and use it as armor.

Daquan last talked about LaBeouf when he got his entire torso tatted for his bruising role in The Tax Collector. However, early fan reactions suggest the massive tattoo never even sees the light of day!

With the coronavirus seriously disrupting the way films are rolled out, the David Ayer-directed action movie only managed to generate $317,000 in the box office this past opening weekend.
