Video vixen-turned-rapper Rubi Rose speaks her mind no matter the situation. Her latest hot take is that throwing up gang signs and making it seem like she's a Blood is "cute," despite not actually being affiliated.
Rubi Rose first turned heads in hip-hop with her cameo in Migos' 2016 "Bad and Boujee" video, which has earned over a billion plays on YouTube.
Since then, the 24-year-old has established a huge audience on OnlyFans where she says she's made more than $1 million since 2020.
Rubi also started making music, dropping songs like "Big Mouth" in 2019. She was then included in XXL's Freshman Class in 2021 alongside Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg and more. However, she's caused some controversy in the past with viral clips where she appears to throw up gang signs.
Speaking with the Big Facts Podcast, Rubi addressed her tendency to do things that link her to gang life, specifically the Bloods. "I'm not actually a gang member," she said. "I know that's kind of like a joke on the internet. … I just like throwing the gang signs up 'cause it's cute."
Rubi added that she started hanging out with members of the Bloods when she moved to Atlanta, even putting them in her music videos. She went as far as to say that parts of the culture are "cool" to her, like the "colorful clothing."
Elsewhere in the interview, Rubi was asked whether she'd date a man who makes less money than her. "We can work it out. ... I see Nicki Minaj is happy," she replied. Some fans accused Rubi of throwing shade at Nicki, though she later clarified, "I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way at all."
As for who Rubi is messing with these days, she was spotted with Lil Tjay recently. "If it ain't toxic I don't want it !" he captioned the below video.
The pair caused a ruckus a couple of years ago when she exposed him for allegedly not buying her a flight home after she flew out to see him for his 19th birthday. Damn!
