Nick Cannon blasted the Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk when he found out about the show’s cancellation. Here’s what the radio talk show host had to say.
Nick Cannon is always speaking his mind. The singer-turned-television host turned radio talk show host has never shied away from sharing his opinion. So, he didn’t back down when discussing the cancellation of Jada Pinkett Smith’s talk show Red Table Talk. On his AMP radio show, The Daily Cannon, Cannon’s co-host Courtney Bee announced the show’s cancellation. What did Cannon have to say about it? One word: “Good!” He continued to explain just how he felt about the talk show. He said, “If there was no Red Table Talk, then he wouldn’t’ve slapped the sh** out of Chris Rock!” Referencing the Oscars scandal when Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock after he told a joke about Jada during the 2022 Oscars ceremony. He also called Will and Jada “royalty” and said, ‘I just want to mind my black own business. I don’t want to be up in everybody else’s kitchen. Keep that sh** to y’all selves.”
Red Table Talk was famous for its honest and deep conversations that took guests to places no other talk show had before. The Facebook Watch show premiered back in 2018 and has featured guests like Sandra Bullock, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, and many more. It even won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show in 2021. Its cancellation by Meta comes as a shock. Pinkett Smith wrote on Instagram about the cancellation, “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband. We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come. We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”
