Josie Harris, Floyd Mayweather's ex-girlfriend and mother of his three children, was found dead in her car in Valencia, CA, on Tuesday night, according to TMZ Sports.

Officials were alerted around 9:30 p.m. PT and found Harris unresponsive at her home shortly after. At only 40 years old, she was pronounced dead at the scene. There does not appear to be any foul play involved and the case is being treated as a death investigation.

Reportedly dating from 1995 to 2010, Harris and Mayweather had a rocky relationship. She claimed Mayweather abused her on six different occasions, but Mayweather only faced serious legal consequences once.

That was in 2010 after Mayweather pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge. He was accused of beating Harris in the middle of the night when he discovered she was dating another man. It was reported that one of their sons witnessed the incident and had to sneak out out of the house to alert someone to call the police. Mayweather ended up serving a two-month jail sentence.

During an interview with Katie Couric in May 2015, Mayweather denied the allegations and claimed Harris was on drugs, causing her to act out of turn."Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone," he said.

Understandably, Harris was upset by Mayweather's comments and sued the boxer for more than $20 million, claiming defamation. At the time of her death, the case was still ongoing.

They had three children together, including Koraun Mayweather, Jirah Mayweather and Zion Mayweather. Harris was also an aspiring actress, entertainer and author. 😢
