Love was in the air on the latest episode of John Krasinski's Some Good News online show. 😍
During this tough time, many soon-to-be-married couples have had to alter their wedding plans due to the coronavirus. One pair, however, was lucky enough to celebrate their special day with Krasinski on his feel-good series Some Good News.
After seeing their proposal that looked "oddly familiar," Krasinski wanted to put a spotlight on the Maryland couple, named Susan and John, who he referred to as his "favorite love story of the week."
Susan and John caught Krasinski's attention by tweeting a video showing them recreating the dramatic proposal seen on The Office between Jim Halpert, Krasinski's beloved character, and his then-girlfriend Pam Beesly, played by Jenna Fischer.
John shared the story behind the clip, saying the show has brought him and Susan closer together.
"So I knew the proposal needed to be something really special but also really something unique," John explained starting at the 8:11 mark of the episode. "The Office has been something that has connected the two of us for a very, very long time so it just felt right."
Susan recalled the moment from her point of view: "Then he got down on one knee and he said 'Just like Jim, I can't wait any longer.'"
Though they originally asked Krasinski to simply attend their virtual wedding, the 40-year-old actor went one step further, getting ordained and requesting they say their "I dos" right there.
After surprising the pair with some of their family and friends, anointing himself and Fischer as best man and matron of honor, as well as inviting country star Zac Brown to perform a song, Krasinski had one more gift in store.
Former cast members of The Office, including Steve Carrell, Rainn Wilson, Oscar Nunez and others, tuned in to recreate the joyful group dance scene from Jim and Pam's fictional wedding. Cue Chris Brown's "Forever."
So many feels.
