If there was ever an event to show us -- you know, regular people -- how over the top celebrities can be, it's the Met Gala. And I don't mean any disrespect by that, it just means they get to flaunt their resources and wealth for another night and we all get to watch in amazement, or bewilderment, at some of the fashion choices they decide to run with.
This year's theme for the Met Gala was Camp and I can't quite explain to you what that means, but it definitely produced some interesting and stunning looks. Take a look below at what some of your favorite celebrities wore to the Met Gala last night.
Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell, Odell, Odell. My guy definitely took the biggest risk last night with his choice of attire, wearing a kilt with cutout sleeves on his blazer and top. He must have been watching clips of the Watch The Throne Tour before deciding this was the look he wanted to try. I ain't mad at it!
Um, Zendaya hasn't been cast as a Disney princess yet but she put her bid in last night and I think Disney needs to pick up the phone. It doesn't matter what role they want to give her, though I would go Cinderella, because she is going to kill whatever.
Cardi can do absolutely no wrong right now and this was just another example of that. I'm not sure who else could have pulled off this dress and look besides her and I'm thankful she attempted it. All red, with this obnoxiously long train, it just screams extra. And that's the best way to describe Cardi. I mean that in the most respectful way possible.
Nicki kept it simpler this year than last year and to be honest that's not really a bad thing. She can really pull off just about any look but if she wants to show off her legs, we are not complaining.
The youngest billionaire in the world showed up looking like it last night. At a certain point we might have to just give Kylie her roses. She looks great every time I see her and is only looking better and better. We love to hate her and hate to love her, but it is what it is.
Is Kendall supposed to be a Phoenix? I'm guessing that's what she is going for. It doesn't really matter anyway because she looks good in anything. The true model of the Jenner/Kardashian family, she definitely can walk the walk when it comes to the red carpet.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Kim showed up doing what Kim does, look absolutely stunning. It doesn't look like she even attempted to go with the Camp theme but you do what you want when you popping. Kanye, on the other hand, showed up wearing what looks like a valet outfit. Was he parking cars last night?
Of course the Queen Jenner was not going to be outdone by her daughters. Kris just doesn't seem to be aging and it's quite incredible. Oh, hey Corey Gamble, you look nice as well, but you're not the main attraction here.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen
Tom Brady still has the sixth Super Bowl ring glow, and honestly, who can blame him. If I just won a ring, I'd be showing up everywhere there were cameras as well. I'd also be showing up everywhere if I was married to one of the biggest supermodels in the world, Gisele Bundchen. That's the real prize.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
The Alex Rodriguez rebrand has been mighty impressive, I must give him credit. I thought he would be a leper in the public at this point but he's actually turned into a media darling, but enough about him. Look at how amazing Jennifer Lopez looks. I doubt those are diamonds on her dress but they sure look like it on her.
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union
Dwyane Wade has been comfortable in his fashion choices for a long time now and last night wasn't anything new. The guy was wearing a hooded blazer, can't say that I've seen that before. Gabrielle Union, on the other hand, could have worn whatever and would have looked amazing, that's the norm for her.
Kacey Musgraves is having the best year ever. First she was the big winner at the Grammy's in February, winning the award shows top prize with Album of the Year, and now she's showing up and bodying the Met Gala. She showed up as a barbie and got the look perfect, even arriving to the red carpet in a pink car.
The Met Gala is right up Janelle Monae's alley as far as getting to make the boldest fashion statement possible. And she made one last night, not sure what the statement was, but she definitely made one. And looked good doing it.
No this is not an optical illusion, Ezra Miller has multiple eyes on his face. The crazy thing is I can't quite make out which ones are his real eyes and which ones are makeup. This is excellent. It's fascinating to look at because you don't know if you should be creeped out or impressed.
21! ICE not slowing my guy down anytime soon, that's for sure. Dapper Dan got 21 Savage right with this blazer and 21 wore it to perfection. The coolest guy in attendance.
Ashton Sanders has never been one that lacked confidence, the guy is always sure of himself. He showed up last night looking like the hood matador and I must say, this is fire. I might try this look myself one day.
The king himself, Dapper Dan! It's only right the man who probably laced a few of these celebrities with their outfits actually pops out himself. This red blazer and Gucci shades are hitting.
Travis Scott showed up looking like the most fly Tuskegee Airman we have never seen before. I rock with it, the brown suit with black leather shoes is a look. But it might have been even better if he wore his Air Jordan 1's that are dropping this weekend.
I'm going to assume Emily Ratjakowski was going for the look of an angel here. I'm also going to be the first to tell her she succeeded. I'm speechless.
Solange can have more than a seat at the table if this is how she is going to be showing up to events from now on. I know PETA might not like this look too much considering it's full snakeskin and she even was bold enough to bring a snake with her, but I love it!
Harry Styles belongs here because I don't know how many guys could pull off this blouse top as he did. He's giving me serious Chappelle's Show vibes from when Dave played Prince. "Computer Blue!"
Well, Jared Leto never disappoints and I can't say that he did this time either. More than his actual outfit though, there was an accessory he had that caught everyone's attention. His head, in his hands. This seems like an attempt by Leto to stay in character of the Joker even off camera.
A lot of people might not be that familiar with Lewis Hamilton because he's a Formula One racer, but he definitely got people's attention last night at the Met Gala. I can't even describe the design of this blazer adequately but it's fly.
Serena definitely showed out for us regular folks by sporting some Nike's to such a prestigious event. She also showed out for the rich folks at the same time because the Nike's she wore were Off-White and valued at $700. The best of both worlds.
This was just one of the three different outfits Gaga sported at the Met Gala so it's safe to say nobody went harder than her this year. But does anybody ever actually go harder than Gaga? She seems to consistently have the most outlandish and show-stopping outfits for these events.
I remember the first time I saw Vanilla Sky, I instantly fell in love with Penelope Cruz. The Met Gala did nothing but reinforce those feelings for me. Penelope, call me, even though you don't have my number.
Tracee Ellis Ross
This was definitely one of the most creative outfits of the night. If I were to show up at the Met Gala I would definitely have a picture frame for my head. This is almost conceited, but then you realize it's Tracee Ellis Ross and you understand why it works.
Gwen Stefani is still proving after all of these years that she is indeed not a holla back girl. The only worry I have with this dress is the white train dragging on the ground, I hope it didn't get dirty.
Green isn't one of my favorite colors at all but it sure looks good on Ciara. If you needed to see any more proof of why Russell Wilson is always acting "corny" over Ciara, here you go. I'd be the corniest man alive for this woman.
Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Diab
That NFL settlement money is looking good on Colin Kaepernick, am I right? Not that he didn't look good before, but this black and gold tux with the gold accessories works, and Nessa's golden gown looks amazing as well.
