Get your orders ready, because the ‘90s hit is back for part two. Yup, you read that right. The official teaser trailer for Good Burger 2 was dropped, and we can’t wait to put our orders in. Here’s all the juicy details you need to know about the sequel.
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting for the highly anticipated feature film, Good Burger 2. The two first donned their Good Burger uniforms for the 1997 American teen comedy film. Mitchell reprised his role as Ed, the clueless cashier, from the recurring sketches on Nickelodeon’s teen sketch show All That. For the first film, Thompson joined the cast as Dexter, a high school student who gets a summer job at Good Burger to pay off the expenses of a car accident he got into with his teacher. The two teenage boys join forces to save the Good Burger from the rival fast-food chain burger joint that has just opened for business. The flick became a cult hit. What is more iconic than “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. Can I take your order?”
The newly released teaser trailer also featured the famous line in its 30-second preview, and from the looks of it, audiences are going to be hooting and hollering at the new film. In addition to the iconic line, the teaser featured the comedic duo getting into shenanigans once again. The trailer begins with Mitchell driving a decked-out burger combo-themed car and hitting Thompson, sending him flying and then landing in the passenger seat next to him. Can we get the keys to that car? The follow-up to the cult comedy will feature Thompson and Mitchell in their original roles, along with familiar faces. Some names involved include Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, Carmen Electra, Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, and many more. The film was directed by All About Steve director Phil Traill and written by Kenan & Kel writers Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert.
