A teaser trailer has officially been dropped for the upcoming docu-series about the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. The unnamed project will tell the complete story of Hussle’s life. Here are all the details we have.

From growing up in Crenshaw to falling in love with music to becoming an activist towards the end of his much too short life, the docu-series will cover every aspect of his life. It will also feature exclusive access to his inner circle with interviews from Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, and Lauren London, Hussle’s longtime partner. The docu-series will see never-before-seen archive footage. The series is being produced by the production company that Hussle created, Marathon Films, and by none other than LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s production company, SpringHill. LeBron said in a statement, “It’s an incredible honor for SpringHill to have a part in sharing Nipsey’s story and legacy with the world.”

He continued, “He used his gift to give back to his community and lived what it means to inspire, empower, and uplift others along the way. His words, his ambition, and his actions stick with me to this day as he continues to inspire myself, our company, and people everywhere.” Hussle was a two-time winning Grammy artist who made it part of his mission to give back to his community. He opened Marathon Clothing with the purpose of having it be a place for people in the community to come together and celebrate their culture. In 2019, his life was tragically cut short at 33. His brother, Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, said about the docu-series, “We are honored to be able to cement Nipsey’s legacy with this epic docu-series of his life. Nipsey once said, ‘If they made a story about my life, it better be a classic.’”

Safe to say, this docu-series will be going down as a classic. With One9, who's also behind Nas: Time is Illmatic, executive producing and directing, this docu-series will be a great testament to the rapper's life and work. Stay tuned as more details come out.
